Refrigerant Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

AR83.30-P-5630M Remove/Install Refrigerant Temperature Sensor

DANGER:

-

Explosion hazard when performing welding or brazing work on closed air conditioning. Poisoning hazard from inhaling overheated
refrigerant vapors. Injury hazard from skin and eye contact with liquid refrigerant.

Do not perform any type of welding work on dosed air conditioning system or in its vicinity. Smoking and open flame prohibited.

Wear protective goggles and protective gloves, work only in well-ventilated rooms. Perform repair work on air conditioning circuit only
with system emptied.

CAUTION:  Protect air conditioning circuit and components from moisture during repair work.

Empty air conditioning (recycle), evacuate, charge, check for leaks

CAUTION:  Add quantity of compressor oil removed to refrigerant circuit when charging air conditioning (new oil).

Disconnect connector for refrigerant temperature sensor (3)

Unscrew refrigerant temperature sensor (B12/1)

CAUTION:  Close openings (parts kit).

NOTE:  Installation:
1. Replace O-rings
2. When connecting lines, moisten thread with compressor oil.

Refrigerant temperature sensor on receiver/drier:  6 N.m

Replace receiver/drier

Install in opposite order.
