The specified quantity of oil was added when the oil was changed.
After driving 5000 km under unfavorable operating conditions oil was added (a) and the quantity added was recognized internally (bonus B1).
We will now consider two cases:

If operation is continued under the same conditions (solid line) the remaining mileage displayed is not increased, because the curve remains in the
shaded area.
However, the service interval still is 15,000 km here even though the internal value is smaller. (The remaining mileage displayed always remains
within the unshaded area).

If the vehicle is driven under more favorable operating conditions (dotted line), the value for the internal remaining mileage slowly comes into the
unshaded area.
In this case the service interval can increase to more than 15,000 km.
