Windshield - Infrared Opening for Electronic Devices

SUBJECT:
INFRARED WINDOW OPENING IN WINDSHIELD FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
MODEL:
215
Model 215 is equipped with Infrared (IR) reflecting laminated glass which reduces the amount of radiated heat entering the interior through the
windshield. The lamination/coating process used on the windshield prevents the transmission of signals through the glass by in-vehicle electronic
devices. The devices which may be affected are for example, electronic toll collection devices e.g., "Easy-Pass" and radar detectors (for use only where
legally permitted). To allow the use of these devices in the vehicle, two IR transparent areas are placed in the windshield to allow the electronic signals
to pass through.
