Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair

AR82.35-P-6000M Remove/Install Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir

Illustrated On Model 220

Open engine hood and move to upright position

Remove washing water heater hoses (1) on washing water reservoir (4)

Unscrew nuts (2) and lift coolant expansion reservoir (3) up and lay down to side

DANGER:
-

Danger of severe burns to skin and eyes from hot coolant spewing out. Coolant is toxic when swallowed

Open cooling system only when coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cover slowly and reduce pressure. Do not fill
beverage containers with coolant. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and protective goggles

Unclip electrical connector (5) from coolant expansion reservoir (3) and place coolant expansion reservoir (3) to side.

Unclip electrical connector (6) from washing water reservoir (4)

Pull windshield washer pump (M5/1) and headlamp washer pump (M5/2) up completely out of washing water reservoir (4) together with outlet
hoses and electrical connections

NOTE:  Catch washing water

Remove washing water reservoir (4) upward

Install in opposite order

Fill windshield washer reservoir

NOTE:  For mixing ration see table on package MB windshield washer concentrate according to service product specifications sheet 371.

Check pumps for proper function.
