Models 216 and 221, Model Year 2009

Check Interior Prefuse Box, Replace if Necessary

This Service Campaign has been initiated because Daimler AG has determined that due to supplier variations in the soldering process the prefuse box
may not be within design tolerance. As a result, the starter relay may not function and a hard starting or no start condition may occur. The prefuse box
will be checked for a "Q" level label and replaced, if necessary, at the next workshop visit

Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired.

Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.

Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator. 

Approximately 4131 vehicles are affected.

A. Inspect interior prefuse box.
