Oil Spray Jet: Service and Repair

Remove/install oil spray nozzles (pistons)

Remove/install

DANGER:

-

Risk of fatal accident from vehicle slipping or toppling off the lift platform

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points
specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove oil pan bottom section

Remove oil pan top section

Remove oil pump

NOTE:  Installation:
-

Check oil return shutoff valve is correctly seated.

-

Clean strainer of oil pump.

-

Fill oil pump with engine oil before installing so that oil is delivered when it is first started.

Remove oil spray nozzles (1)

NOTE: 
-

If necessary, rotate crankshaft slightly at belt pulley.

-

Installation:  Replace oil spray nozzles.

-

It is important to ensure that the injection pipes (3) of the oil spray nozzles (1) are not bent when being installed.

-

On Engine 112.960/961 observe version of oil spray nozzles.

Clean

Inspect and clean oil ducts

NOTE: 
-

Blow out oil ducts in flow direction of oil with compressed air.

-

Do not use hard objects for cleaning.

Install in the reverse order.
