Heater Control Valve: Description and Operation

Duovalve

The duovalve regulate the coolant flow quantity through the heater core separately for the left and right sides.

The duovalves for the automatic air conditioning are controlled directly by the automatic A/C pushbutton control module using on/off control and
control the coolant flow through the heater core separately for the left and right side. The closing and opening times of the duovalves per cycle depend
upon the deviation between the actual temperature and the set temperature.

Control principle 

The electro magnetic coil in the duovalves is actuated by the automatic A/C pushbutton control module. This allows the hot water quantity flowing
through the heater core to be controlled separately for the left and right side. The duovalves are open when not under power.
