Communication Platform - Mobile Identification Number Set with the Letter "A"

In the above model vehicles where the Mobile Identification Number (MIN) in the Communications Platform (CP) is seen with the letter "A" no action
needs to be taken because there is nothing wrong with the unit.

In recent DAS versions, when replacing a CP, the coding procedure will eventually lead to the final screen "Registration with ATX". It is here where the
MIN, VIN and ESN are listed for easy access when calling to register with ATX. On this page the MIN contains a letter (the MIN is strictly a number).
In addition, the ESN has been listed as "FFFFFFFF" in recent DAS versions.

To confirm there is not an issue with the CP, please reference the "Control unit version" page of the CP located by following the path:

The "Control unit version" page will list the correct information. Use this when registering with ATX when a new CP is installed in the vehicle.

This issue will be rectified in DAS 11/03, at which point the "Registration with ATX" page will then contain the correct MIN and ESN information.
