The pressure sensors downstream of air cleaners (B28/4, B28/5) detect the pressure drop via the respective air cleaner. If, at a high load, the
pressure difference to the ambient pressure (sensor in the engine control unit) is too great, the respective air cleaner is clogged. In this case, a load
limitation is activated by means of the boost pressure control and if required additionally via the throttle valve actuator (M16/6).

The signal of the pressure sensor downstream of air cleaner, right cylinder bank (B28/5) serves as calculation of the boost pressure. Together with
the signal from pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve actuator (B28/6), the pressure ratio downstream/upstream of compressor is calculated for
the boost pressure control.

The difference of pressure downstream of air cleaners between left and right cylinder bank must not be greater than approx. 50 mbar, otherwise the
load limitation is also activated.

The signal of pressure sensor downstream of air cleaner is required for the plausibility of the pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve actuator
(B28/6).
In case of signal errors, the pressure sensor downstream of air cleaner performs a power limitation.
Observe the green color coding of the pressure sensor downstream of air cleaner. If the pressure sensors downstream of air cleaner are mixed with the
pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve actuator (B28/6), the engine switches off after starting.
