Check hub (3) of vibration damper for wear grooves. 

If wear grooves are present, install shaft seal (8) offset inward 3 mm (see stop 8).

Press shaft seal out with screwdriver.
Do not damage crankshaft or mounting bore for shaft seal, use clean rag for support.

Remove burrs on edge of mounting bore for shaft seal.

Oil sealing lip of shaft seal.
Do not use grease. Grease prevents the angled web on the sealing lip from returning the engine oil.

Attach shaft seal (8) to side a of installation sleeve 119 589 01 14 00. Align Woodruff key (7), slide on installation sleeve and assure that
Woodruff key (7) in crankshaft is engaged in groove in installation sleeve by turning.
