The felt would be on the under side of the sensor box in its original position.

To protect printed circuit from damage, glue a piece of rubber hose (approx. 1.5 " long and 1/4" to 3/8" in dia) as shown by arrow in Figure 5.

Note:

Portion of the printed circuit extending from the sensor rigid box will be bent in its final position.

Place the previously cut segment of the mat in the original sensor box recess. Carefully place the sensor assembly on the rubberized fiber mat of
the seat cushion. Insert sensor connector with wiring through the hole in the mat and pull it from underneath. Flip the sensor box upside- down,
and place it in the new cut place in the mat (Figure 6).

Enlarge the recess in the rubberized fiber mat, if necessary.
