Front Turn Signal Inoperative
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the front turn signal not working, this may be due to an electrical contact problem
between the turn signal bulb socket and the headlamp housing. In this case, perform the following repair only on the affected side of the vehicle.
1.
Remove E1e5 (left turn signal) or E2e5 (right turn signal) from the headlamp housing.
2.
Check the outer electrical contacts of the bulb socket for burn marks. If damage is visible, repair as follows.
3.
Disconnect the 6-pin connector at the headlamp housing.
4.
Remove retaining clip (Figure 1, 3) from connector (Figure 1, 2) and remove pin 6 from connector (Figure 1, 1). Refer to WIS document
Removing Contacts from Sensor Connector, AR00.19-P-0120-02B.
Note:
Both the left and right connectors use the same colored wire (Gray/Black).
5.
Plug empty cavity with supplied rubber plug, and reinsert retaining clip into connector (Figure 1, 3).
