Detach lower engine compartment paneling

Screw in threaded bolt (07n)

NOTE:
-

Model 215, model 220 without 4MATIC:  Insert threaded bolts (07n) into the rearmost threaded holes "k" in the mounting rail.
-

To do this, unscrew the rear bolts from the rear engine crossmember (63).

Model 220 with 4MATIC:  Insert threaded bolts into threaded holes "k".
-

To do this, unscrew the relevant bolts (see diagram) from the rear engine crossmember (63).

Install cradle (07) horizontally and adjust fixtures (07r, 07s) according to the vehicle model concerned

Install telescopic measuring rod (06) on retaining bolt (024b) with connecting parts

Use the relevant measuring bolt and probes (024) for the corresponding distance or comparison measurement.

Carry out distance and comparison measurements on front and rear axles

Detach cradle (07) and threaded bolts (07n)

Screw in bolts for rear engine crossmember (63) on both sides

Install lower engine compartment paneling.
