5.

Replace oil pressure sensors that leak or sensors with manufacturing date code number prior to date code 1291 (refer to note below) with new
pressure sensor (arrow, Figure 3).

If removed oil pressure sensor does not require replacement (as described in step 5), reinstall sensor along with new seal ring.

Date code explanation: Date code "3243": First 3 nos. (324) represent the 324th day. Last no. (3) represents the year (2003)

After installing new oil pressure sensor, mark new sensor with a white paint mark in clearly visible (clean) location.

If oil is present on surrounding attached engine components (engine wiring harness, control modules, sensors or ignition modules) due to a leaky 
oil pressure sensor, replace the affected components (if necessary) and return them for inspection.

8.

Perform quick test, delete fault memory, start engine and check for leaks (from sensor).
