Check Engine Light On / Misfire

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the check engine light being on caused by misfire codes P2043... P205C (P0300...
P0312), please refer to the EDAC/V12 Engine Complaints Diagnostic Tree posted on STAR TekInfo (P-B-15.10/52) for diagnosis.

If the engine control unit is either part number A025 5457432 or A000 1532879, replace the engine control unit with one of the below part numbers and
proceed with the software update as described below.

After completed diagnosis and possible necessary repair, the ME2.7 engine control unit should be updated with flashware CD version 09/2004 (release:
000 448 0000 0004) or newer. After flashing, the ME2.7 engine control unit will have the part number Al 37 153 0879 on the control unit version when
viewed with the SDS screen, regardless of what is on the outside of the control unit. The following engine control unit part numbers can be flashed:

A000 153 29 79
A137 153 00 79
A137 153 01 79
A137 153 04 79
A137 153 05 79
