Wind Noise in Area of the Rear Side Windows

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of wind noise in the area of the rear side windows, this may be  caused by insufficient butyl
between the edge of the rear window and the window rail seal on one or both sides of the  vehicle. Perform the following procedure to resolve.

1.

Remove rubber seal on the affected rear window glass; slide the seal upwards to remove (Figure 1).

2.

Clean the window glass and the end of the rubber seal of the old butyl.

3.

Install new sealant butyl in the end of the seal as shown in Figure 2.
