On model 221, the telephone and GPS roof antenna is mounted on the vehicle roof.
On model 216, the telephone and GPS antenna (A2/49) is located in the trunk lid.

The telephone signals are transmitted and received via the telephone antenna (A2/49a1) integrated in the telephone and GPS roof antenna (on model
221) and in the telephone and GPS antenna (on model 216).
On vehicles with code (494) USA version, the Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand (emergency call system) (TELE AID) emergency call signals
are additionally transmitted and received via the telephone antenna integrated in the telephone and GPS roof antenna (on model 221) and in the
telephone and GPS antenna (on model 216).
On vehicles with code (228) Stationary heater, the signals of the STH radio remote control transmitter (A8/3) are additionally received and the
confirmation signals of the STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1) are transmitted via the telephone antenna integrated in the telephone and GPS roof
antenna (on model 221) and in the telephone and GPS antenna (on model 216).
The Global Positioning System (GPS) signals for navigation and for the TELE AID, with code (494) USA version, are received via the GPS antenna
(A2/49a2) integrated in the telephone and GPS roof antenna (on model 221) and in the telephone and GPS antenna (on model 216).
On vehicles with code (536) SIRIUS satellite radio the radio signals for the SDAR control unit (N87/5) are received via the telephone and GPS roof
