MODEL YEARS 2007-2008

UPDATE SOFTWARE FOR DYNAMIC/MULTI-CONTOUR SEAT CONTROL MODULES

This Service Campaign has been initiated because DCAG has determined that on the affected vehicles malfunctions may occur in the
dynamic/multi-contour seat modules which may result in inflation or deflation of the air cushions without cause. Dealers will update the control
module software for the dynamic/multicontour seats.

Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired. If necessary, repair the subject
vehicle during the vehicle's next service.

Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the procedure steps exactly as described.

Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator.

Approximately 3,205 vehicles are affected.

Procedure

Note: - Prior to starting the procedure ensure to:

Use DAS version 06/2007 with Add-on 0760 or higher with all associated patches

Follow the steps exactly as described in DAS

^

Connect battery charger

1.

Connect Star Diagnosis.

2.

Install software for dynamic and/or multicontour (front and rear) seat control modules.

Follow DAS path "Control units/ Seats and doors" and select the appropriate control module.

^

Select "Control unit adaptations/ Control unit programming."

Note:

If the "No newer control module software was found" message appears when attempting to flash the control modules, proceed to step 3.

Disconnect Star Diagnosis and battery charger.

Note:
