Campaign - Power Seat Control Module Software Update

MODELS 216, 221 
MODEL YEARS 2007-2008

INSTALL SOFTWARE FOR DYNAMIC AND/OR MULTICONTOUR SEAT CONTROL MODULES

This Service Campaign has been initiated because DCAG has determined that the affected vehicles may have possible malfunctions in the multi-contour
seat modules which may result in inflation or deflation of the air cushions without obvious cause. Dealers will update the control module software and, if
multi-contour seat fault codes are indicated, then replace ONLY the appropriate parts identified for the multi-contour seats.

The software update is 100%, while the part replacement rate is estimated to be less then 1%.

Dealers may order parts as required.

Prior to performing this Service Campaign:

Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired. If necessary, repair the subject
vehicle during the vehicle's next service.

Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator.
