Chirping / Whistling Noise From ABC Tandem Pump When Vehicle Is Idling 

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of a chirping / whistling noise from the area of the Active Body Control (ABC) tandem
pump (engine compartment) when the vehicle is idling, replace the tandem pump with a revised part. Refer to WIS document AR46.30-P-0500SY for
Model 221 except 221.176/179 and 216.376/397. Refer to WIS document AR46.30-P-0500SYA for model 221.176/179 and 216.376/379.

Note:

The noise is caused by an internal throttle for the high pressure oil lubrication of the pump shafts. The noise sounds like a chattering belt and can be
heard most audibly when the engine is warm from outside the vehicle or with the windows open. No steering input should be used in order to isolate
the noise.
