CLK 320 (209.365) V6-3.2L (112.955) (2004)
Switch-off characteristics:
^
emergency-call is switched off at "circuit 15R OFF" with a delay of 10 min., if when doing so an alarm call is not active and the CTEL is not set to
an extended shut-off delay period.
^
For control of the telephone system the emergency call also remains active during the telephone shut-off delay period, but it is not possible to
trigger an emergency call.
^
During an emergency call, Emergency-Call is only switched off when the emergency call is terminated.
^
If an authorization is at that moment taking place in transmitter key position (A8/1) "circuit 15c", then this is so terminated and Emergency-Call is
then switched off
When COMAND and "circuit 15c" are switched on, it is possible to telephone within the adjusted shut-off delay period.
State display, function
The state display in the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) serves to check the functioning of the Emergency-Call system.
Every time the E-call system is switched on, the state display comes on for approx. 5 seconds and signals the readiness of E-call. Then the state display
goes out.
If an Emergency-Call is triggered, the state display starts to flash (0.5 seconds on, 0.5 seconds off, etc.). If no Emergency-Call could be transmitted, the
state display comes on. If data is transmitted, the state display returns to the same status as before the emergency call actuation.
When the E-Call system is in diagnostic mode, the state display also starts to flash (1 second ON, 1 second OFF, ...). An E-Call system error is present
when the state display does not go out 5 seconds after switching on or if it comes on at a later stage.
Possible reasons for the status display lighting up
External errors:
^
Tilting cone sensor (B66) defective
^
Power supply too low
^
No or incorrect SIM card installed
^
Communication with the restraint systems control module (N2/7) interrupted
^
Communication with ESP and BAS control module (N47-5) faulty
^
Fault in SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3)
^
Fault in GPS reception (antenna system)
^
Faulty reception with TELE AID backup antenna (A2/50) or CTEL antenna (A2/22)
Internal errors
^
GPS receiver defective
^
Vehicle is not authorized or is in the process of being authorized
^
Memory defect on E-Call control module (A35/8)
^
The PIN (Personal Identification Number) has not been stored in the E-call control module (A35/8) by the user (e.g. after changing PIN number)
^
Integral transmitter/receiver unit of the telephone is defective in the E-Call control module (A35/8)
The E-call control module (A35/8) can be coded by means of STAR Diagnosis so that state display does not light up despite a lack of authorization (all
other system faults are displayed in spite of this). The dealer should have the customer confirm deactivation of the state display in writing using a
preprinted form.

GF82.95-P-2007QU Switching E-call On/Off, Function
- with CODE (349) E-Call emergency call system
ON/off characteristics
The Emergency-Call system is switched on, with the transmitter key (A8/1) in the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73) turned to position "circuit
15R ON". The switch-on process is signaled by the indicator lamp in the SOS pushbutton (S93/3) switching on. The system is ready for operation.
After switching on, the E-call control unit (A35/8) activates the transmitter and receiver unit and waits for the readiness confirmation from the restraint
systems control unit (N2/7).
If the system is not authorized, an error message appears in the instrument cluster (A1) and the system is not operational.
