in the multifunction display (A1p13). The position and vehicle data transmitted to the Customer Assistance Center (CAC) are required for quick and
reliable processing of the breakdown situation.
If the fault can be eliminated with the aid of the diagnosis experts, the telediagnosis is completed. If the fault is not rectified, the Customer Assistance
Center (CAC) initiates further rescue measures. If local help is required, position data are taken over into a program with an electronic card. This serves
for determining the vehicle location and the next MB service plant. The latter is informed and receives the required vehicle data from the Customer
Assistance Center (CAC) to start effective rescue measures.
Telediagnosis can only operate when the system is authorized.

Roadside assistance call (telediagnosis, roadside assistance)
The telediagnosis service allows the user to get in contact with the service center, such as in the event of a problem with the vehicle. The service center
can then use additional vehicle-specific data to make a remote diagnosis of the situation, and based on its findings, initiate appropriate assistance
measures. The MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6) is used to automatically send an SMS to the service center.
During a roadside assistance call, the following data are automatically transmitted:
^
Vehicle position
^
Customer identification data
^
Vehicle identification data
^
Condition data
^
Fault code
The service center can also request subsequent transmission of additional vehicle status data and fault codes from the emergency call system control unit
(N123/4) by SMS. After the service center has evaluated these data, it will place a call to the vehicle. In this way, the exact situation and further service
steps can be discussed and agreed on by the driver and the service center.
