Headlamp Igniter Module: Procedures

AR82.10-P-4633-01Q Modify Xenon Bulb Ignition Module

- Model 203.7 up to 035817
- Model 209 with CODE (614) Bi-xenon headlamp unit

Disconnect electrical connector from left front lamp unit or right front lamp unit.

Rotate electrical connector at xenon bulb ignition device counterclockwise and disconnect.

Cut off electrical connector at ignition device of xenon bulb as close to ignition device as possible (arrows).

Dispose of electrical connector.

Cut off the three supply lines (red, black and green) as close to the ignition device as possible (arrow).

This shuts down the ignition device in the left front lamp unit or the right front lamp unit.

Connect new adapter cable to the three supply lines (red, black and green) as shown using solder connectors (arrows). Heat gun

Please ensure that the heat gun does not cause damage to the left front lamp unit or the right front lamp unit.

Wrap fabric tape around solder connectors (arrows).

Screw in electrical connector of new left or right xenon headlamp ignition module clockwise at burner.
