The emergency call telegram is transmitted to the service provider via mobile telephone (D-net) and is automatically decoded there.
Up to 3 emergency call telegrams are stored in the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17). If more than 3 emergency call
telegrams are stored, the oldest telegram is written over.

After an emergency call is actuated, an emergency call telegram is automatically generated by the E-call control module (A35/8). It includes the
following information:

Vehicle location
^
Type of emergency call triggering: automatic or manual using the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3)
^
Crash-Parameters from restraint systems control module (N2/7) and from tilting cone sensor (B66)
^
Identification number for identifying vehicle
^
Time of emergency call
The emergency call telegram is relayed to the E-CALL center via mobile telephone.
Up to three prepared emergency call telegrams are stored in the E-call control module (A35/8). If more than three emergency call telegrams have been
stored the oldest telegram is written over.

In the event of an emergency call, all the data for an emergency call telegram are compiled by the emergency call system control unit (N123/4). The
following data are automatically transmitted in an emergency call telegram as an SMS:

Type of deployment (manual or automatic emergency call)

Vehicle data (e.g. circuit status)

Crash information (severity of accident), only for an automatic emergency call
