Remove pushbutton control module

Remove cover (2) in center console

Remove heater and automatic temperature control and operating unit and lay down to side together with disconnected wiring harness

4.1 Remove radio and navigation operating control module (APS)
4.2 Pull out COMAND control module

Open armrest cover

Open cup holder cover

Open ashtray cover

Unclip cover (3) from shift lever using long wedge

See "Special Tools" given below.

Unclip cover (4) and remove

10 Unscrew screws (5) from cover frame (1)
11 Unclip catches (arrows) from cover frame (1) on center console on both sides with puller hook

-

For this purpose position puller hook below cover frame pull upward and unclip single catches (arrow) one after another

See "Special Tools" given below.

NOTE:  Installation: Clip single catches (arrows) on cover frame (1) first at left and then at right from top to bottom while simultaneously
folding back rear cover to rear (bent arrows)

12 Unhook lugs (6) with puller hooks

See "Special Tools" given below.

13 Remove cover frame (1) upward

NOTE:  Installation: When positioning cover frame fold back cover to rear in area of lugs (6)

14 Install in the reverse order
