Longitudinal lockup protection feature

The left partially electric seat adjustment control module (N32/17)/right partially electric seat adjustment control module (N32/18) evaluates the hall
sensor signals from the actuated motor. If the hall sensor is recognized as defective by the control module the affected output is switched off.
The seat can be adjusted in the same direction only after releasing the switch and expiration of a time of least 2 seconds. Adjustment of the seat in the
opposite direction is possible immediately. If the control module no longer receives any hall signals either in the one or in the other direction when the
motor is actuated, the sensor is considered to be defective.

Repeat protection (only with easy entry feature)

The repeat protection feature prevents the left front seat forward/back motor (M25m1) and right front seat forward/back motor (M26m1) from
overheating when executing the easy entry function.
When the affected motor is actuated at certain intervals of time (20 ms) a counter in the control module increases the count by a fixed value. If the
counter status exceeds a defined value (switch-off threshold), actuation of the motor is inhibited for a defined period of time (cool-down phase).
Simultaneously a DTC is stored in the control module DTC memory. During the cool-down phase the counter value decreases in increments. After
dropping below a certain threshold sufficient time has expired. This ensures that the motor can cool down and the easy entry feature inhibit is canceled.
