Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair
Removing, installing and replacing duo valve
DANGER:

Risk of injury to skin and eyes through scalding by hot, pressurized coolant. Risk of poisoning through swallowing coolant.

Open cooling system only when coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Slowly unscrew cap and allow the excess pressure to escape.
Coolant should not be poured into drinking vessels.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and protective glasses.

Allow pressure in coolant circuit to escape
NOTE: Do this by turning cap on reservoir to notch "1".

Disconnect coupling (4)

Remove coolant hose (2)
NOTE: Catch any escaping coolant with cloths.

Detach rubber mount (1) from bracket

Push duo valve (Y21) upwards and remove coolant hoses (3)

Install in the reverse order.
