AR35.20-P-0116B Remove/Install Supporting Joint on Wheel Carrier

Removing, Installing Supporting Joint At Wheel Carrier (wheel Carrier Installed)

CAUTION:  Installation:  Replace self-locking nuts

DANGER:

-

Lethal injuries are possible if vehicle slips off of lifting platform

-

Align vehicle between the four pillars of the hoist and position the four support plates at the hoist mounting points specified by the vehicle
manufacturer.

Unclip line of brake lining wear indicator at spring link, If present

Remove spring link (6) at wheel carrier (7)

CAUTION:  Installation:The rear axle shaft must be horizontal when tightening the nuts.

Press wheel carrier (7) up out of spring link (6)

CAUTION:  Installation: Do not damage rubber boots at supporting joint when installing in spring link.

Remove supporting joint (7a) at wheel carrier

Install in the reverse order
