Remove/Install Flywheel/Driven Plate

DANGER:

Risk of death, Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by
the vehicle manufacturer.

1.1 Remove automatic transmission
1.2 Remove manual transmission

Install retaining lock (6)

Dismount clutch

Unscrew bolts of flywheel (3) from crankshaft (5)

CAUTION:  Installation:  Install new bolts for flywheel (3), because the connection may become loose if reused or the bolts of the flywheel (3)
may break off.

Remove washer (2).

Remove flywheel with starter ring gear (1) or drive plate

NOTE:  Installation:  The cylindrical pin (4) determines the installation position.

Install in the reverse order

Carry out initialization

NOTE:  If a new flywheel is installed, perform initialization in the ME control module with STAR Diagnosis in the menu point "Control module
adaptation".
