Cellular Phone Transceiver: Service and Repair

AR82.70-P-8911Q Remove/Install Transmitter/Receiver

- with CODE (853) MB standard telephone
- with CODE (854) MB portable CTEL

DANGER!
Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to
skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.

-

Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked
containers.

Disconnect ground cable of battery

Remove rear seat rear cover

Release, remove D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13)

CAUTION!
Do not bend or stretch D2B fiber optical cable in order to prevent signal interruption.

Disconnect fiber optic cable connector

NOTE:
-

Do not kink or stretch the D2B fiber optic cable.

Install caps on fiber optic cable connector and equipment connection.

Release, unplug couplings

Remove D2B telephone transmitter/receiver (A35/13)

Install in the reverse order

Perform basic programming

9

Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase

10

Check for proper function
