If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles having any of the conditions below, it may be due to an incorrect installation/mating/contact
of the iPod Interface Cable (Refer to Figures 1-4 above) with the COMAND head unit connector. 

To remedy, replace the iPod Interface Cable. Refer to the appropriate section of WIS Documents shown above.

Conditions

^ Central display opens and closes by itself or inoperative

^ Voice control system may not respond to driver's commands due to head unit connector contacts not mating securely as a result, the connection to the

microphone is lost

^ iPod playback intermittently inoperative

^ Back up camera (B84/3) intermittently inoperative
