The GPS antenna (A2/23) serves for receiving as well as amplifying the Global positioning system (GPS) satellite signals. However, no signals are
transmitted.
The satellite signals received by the GPS antenna (A2/23) are amplified by the integrated antenna amplifier.
The output signal is forwarded by way of a coaxial antenna cable to the GPS receiver.
The GPS receiver is integrated:

For Audio 30 APS (Code 353) in the navigation processor.

For the COMAND operating and display system (Code 352a) in the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3).
