Verify proper trunk operation per the following checklist:

With the trunk lid lock tumbler in the neutral position (A, Figure 12), verify the trunk will open when:

Actuating the switch on the driver's side door panel

Pressing the trunk lid button on the license plate recess

Pressing the trunk button on the SmartKey

With the trunk lid lock tumbler in the locked position (B, Figure 12), verify the trunk will not open when:

Actuating the switch on the driver's side door panel

^

Pressing the trunk lid button on the license plate recess

^

Pressing the trunk button on the SmartKey

With the trunk locked or unlocked, verify the trunk will open when:

Pressing the trunk lid emergency release switch
