Soft Top Does Not Open and Instrument Cluster Message Reads: "Close Remaining Luggage Compartment Partition"

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles with an instrument cluster message reading "Close Remaining Luggage Compartment
Partition," it may be caused by the left wiring harness/Bowden cable that controls the linkage flap on the soft top compartment lid, not sliding into the
guide tube. By kinking and lying down between the remaining luggage compartment cover and the side wall paneling of the luggage compartment, the
micro switch is not actuated (Figure 1).

Replace the Bowden cable for operating the linkage flaps on the soft top compartment lid by referencing WIS document AR68.30-P-1650QA. This
includes the guide hose and rubber guide. Please reference the notes below when replacing the cables, hose and guide.
