Injury hazard from roll bar extending

Before working in the area of the roll bar, pull out rear head restraints by hand.

Risk of injury. Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.

Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.

Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid.

Release the pressure in the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety
glasses.

Open trunk lid

Remove paneling in trunk
NOTE: Remove only left side wall paneling.

Remove, install hydraulic cylinder for soft top compartment cover
NOTE: Lay hydraulic cylinder for soft top compartment cover down to side with leads connected

Disconnect plug (7) from hydraulic unit.
NOTE: Work shown without left soft top compartment paneling.

Unscrew nut (5) from hydraulic pump bracket (6).

Unscrew nut (1) and remove hydraulic pump ground cable (2).

Unscrew nut (3) and remove hydraulic pump power supply cable (4).

Unscrew screws (8) from connection plate (10)
NOTE: Hydraulic system should be unpressurized

Remove hydraulic lines (9) together with connection plate (10)

Plug hydraulic line (9) with plug
