The left blend air flap actuator motor (M2/6) and the right blend air flap actuator motor (M2/7) are used to adjust the required in-car temperature.

The left blend air flap actuator motor (M2/6) and the right blend air flap actuator motor (M2/7) are actuated via the AAC [KLA] control and operating
unit (N22) and the AC bus depending on the position of the temperature selector wheels and the actual measured interior temperature and move the blend
air flaps. The blend air flaps open or close the passage of air through the heater heat exchanger in order to mix the proper quantities of heated and fresh
air or cooled air, which is required to reach the desired interior temperature.

The specified flap angles of the left blend air flap actuator motor (M2/6) and right blend air flap actuator motor (M2/7) are determined by the AAC
[KLA] control and operating unit (N22) depending on the following information:

Set specified temperature value on the temperature selector wheels

^

Measured interior temperature at the in-car temperature sensor (N22b1) in the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22)

^

Coolant temperature

Blend air flaps closed:

No air through the mixing chamber and therefore no heating of the air.

Blend air flaps open:

All air flows through the mixing chamber with maximum heating of air.

Left and right defroster flaps actuator motor (M2/16)

The left and right defroster flaps actuator motor (M2/16) operates the defroster flaps for the regulation of the air flow to the wind deflector and side
windows defroster vents. By pressing the defroster button on the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22), the left and right defroster flaps actuator
motor (M2/16) is actuated via the AC bus and operates the defroster flaps, which can move into the following positions:
Actuation with "defrosting":

Defroster flaps 100% open

Actuation for "REST":

Defroster flaps 66% open

Actuation for circuit 15 Off:

Defroster flaps 100% open

Manual flap control
(division as clock by actuating the air distribution wheel)

Automatic flap control

The defroster flaps are opened linearly up to 100 %, depending on the following values:

Blend air flap setting

Coolant temperature

^

Evaporator temperature

^

Relative air humidity (up to 28.6.06)

Footwell flap actuator motors left and right (M2/15)

The left and right footwell flaps actuator motor (M2/15) actuates the footwell flaps to regulate the air flow to the front footwell and rear footwell.
Turning the air distribution switch in the AAC control and operating unit (N22) actuates the left and right footwell flaps actuator motor (M2/15) via the
AC bus. The left and right footwell flaps actuator motor (M2/15) controls the footwell flaps, which adopt the following positions, according to the
various requirements:

Actuation with "defrosting":

Footwell flaps 0 % closed

Actuation for "REST":

Footwell flaps 100 % open

Actuation for circuit 15 Off:

Remain in previous condition

Manual flap control
(division as clock by actuating the air distribution wheel)
