Function sequence
The switch position of the rotary light switch (S1s1) in the light switch module (S1) in the standing lamp "ON" position is read in by the front SAM
control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) via a discrete line. The front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) transmits, via the
Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B), the message "Standing lamp ON" to the following control units:

Rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
^
Instrument cluster (A1)
^
Trailer recognition control unit (N28/1)
Via a discrete line, the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) actuates the following lamps:
^
Left standing and parking lamp (E1e3)
^
Right standing and parking lamp (E2e3)
^
Left front side-marker lamp (United States of America) (E6/1)
^
Right front side-marker lamp (United States of America) (E6/2)
Via a discrete line, the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates the following lamps:
