The TELE AID emergency call system is switched off with:

^

Circuit 15C

^

inactive emergency call

^

no run-on time set in the telephone

The telephone system can be set to shut-off delay in order to continue a telephone conversation for a certain time in spite of "circuit 15R OFF".

TELE AID is active in the telephone run-on time, however, it is not possible to activate an automatic emergency call. During a call TELE AID is only
switched off when the emergency call is terminated. If an authorization is in progress while switching off, the authorization is interrupted and TELE AID
switched off.

State display, function

After TELE AID has been switched on, the CTEL and TELE AID transmitter/receiver, D2B (A35/17) awaits a ready message.

If this has not been received after 30 s, the status display in the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) lights up and the fault is entered in the fault memory.

Uninterrupted flashing of the state display

External faults:

Tilting cone sensor (B66) faulty

Power supply too low

^

No or incorrect SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) installed

^

Communication with restraint system control unit (N2/7) interrupted

^

Error in communication with the ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5)

^

Error on SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3)

^

Error on GPS reception (antenna system)

^

Reception via the emergency call system left backup antenna (A2/54) and emergency call system right backup antenna (A2/55), if the telephone
antenna (A2/22) fails.

Internal faults:

GPS reception faulty

^

Vehicle is not authorized or is in the process of authorization

^

Memory defect on telephone transmitter/receiver and TELE AID, D2B (A35/17)

^

PIN (Personal Identification Number) is not stored in the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17) by the user (e.g., after
changing PIN number)

^

The telephone transmitter/receiver unit integrated in the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17) is faulty

The D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17) can be coded with STAR Diagnosis so that the state display does not come on even
when the system is not authorized (all other system errors are indicated). The dealer has the deactivation of the state display confirmed by the customer
in writing using a preprinted form.
