Pull the seat belt out completely and using a flashlight check to see if the seat belt guide has become detached (Figure 2 and 3).

Repair:

1.

Gain access to the inertia reel; refer to WIS document AR68.30-P-4780Q (coupe) or AR68.30-P-4780QA (cabriolet).

Note

The inertia reel does not need to be removed

Reinstall white plastic seat belt guide back into position.

3.

Use a wedge tool to push the inertia reel slightly away from the tan mounting bracket. Bend the cable tie and thread it through the seat belt guide
and the black part of the inertial reel bracket (Figure 4).
