Wiper Arm: Testing and Inspection

Special Tools

Remove adapter (D) and choke angle gauge (A) from the adjustment tool set.

Insert adapter (D) into the guide (arrow) of the choke angle gauge (A) and fasten with knurled bolt to choke angle gauge (A).

Shown on model 209, driver-side wiper arm (1) in reverse position

Insert adapter (D) at choke angle gauge (A) into the wiper blade mount of the driver-side wiper arm (1) and clamp tight by twisting the locating
bolt (2).

Lower driver-side wiper arm (1) until all three jacking points of the choke angle gauge foot (A) touch the windshield.

Read angle of incidence of driver-side wiper arm (1) on the dial of the choke angle gauge (A) and record.

Lift driver-side wiper arm (1), loosen choke angle gauge (A) by twisting the locating bolt (2) from the driver-side wiper arm (1) and remove.

Repeat testing procedure for front passenger side wiper arm.
