Location
Location of outside rearview mirror adjustment motors
Purpose
The outside rearview mirror adjustment motors serve for adjustment of the mirror glass in the mirror housing.
Design
The two motors for one mirror are actuated by the door control module via two feed lines and one common return line.
Function
The outside rearview mirror adjustment motors on the driver side are actuated by the front driver-side door control module (N69/1); the motors in
the outside rearview mirror on the passenger side (M21/7m1 and M21/7m2) are actuated by the front Passenger-side door control module (N69/2).
The motor moves the mirror up or down or to the right or left depending on the polarity of the actuating voltage. The association between the
polarity and direction of rotation is programmed in the door control module.
