Detach fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1) and remove.

If the slider (77) was detached, the upper steering shaft (70g) may be driven out by no more than max. 85 mm.If it is driven out further, the thrust
piece may fall into the inside of the jacket tube and damage (score) the surface. A whole new jacket tube (71) must then be installed.

Attach fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1) with link rod (62) to jacket tube. The arch in the link rod (arrow) must point towards the jacket tube
(71).

Fit bolts for fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1) and tighten in the specified sequence (1 to 4)

Drive in upper steering shaft (70g) using a suitable sleeve (077) until the link rod (62) is fully inserted into the bracket (70h).

Install new self-locking nut (62a) on link rod (62) and tighten.
