Component Identification

Location

The roof antenna (A2/49) is located to the rear in the center of the vehicle roof.

Design

The following antennas are integrated in the roof antenna:

GPS antenna (A2/49a2)
(with code (359) TELE AID emergency call system or
with code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio or
with code (527) COMAND APS (with navigation system) or
with code (529) HIGH Class Japan or
with code (530) COMAND APS USA (with navigation system))

Telephone antenna (A2/49a1)
(with code (354) Telephone antenna (D and E nets) or
with code (359) TELE AID emergency call system or
with code (534) Audio 20 CD radio, Japan)

SDAR antenna (A2/49a4)
(with code (536) SIRIUS satellite radio)

For vehicles with standard equipment, the roof antenna is designed as a "dummy" antenna (nonfunctional).
