DANGER:

-

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour
coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

-

Risk of explosion through welding or soldering work on the enclosed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning through inhalation of
overheated refrigerant vapor. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with liquid refrigerant.

-

Do not perform any welding work on the enclosed air conditioning system and in its immediate vicinity. No fire or naked flame.

-

Wear safety glasses and protective gloves; work in well-ventilated premises only. All repair work on the air conditioning system's circuit
to be performed on drained system only.

CAUTION:  Protect the air conditioning system's circuit and components against moisture during repair work.

Open engine hood

Extract pressure in cooling system

Detach lower engine compartment paneling

NOTE:  Front paneling.

Drain coolant from radiator

Move driver and front-passenger seats back as far as they will go

DANGER:

Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury with
caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead-acid batteries

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.

-

Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked
containers.

Remove instrument panel bracket

Remove accelerator pedal

Fold back left front floor lining

NOTE:  Air duct to left rear compartment (14) must be accessible.

Remove air duct to left rear compartment (14)

Fold back right front floor lining

NOTE:  Air duct to right rear compartment (15) must be accessible.

Remove air duct to right rear compartment (15)

Remove desiccant cartridge

CAUTION:  Installation:  the desiccant cartridge must be replaced each time the refrigerant circuit is opened. Note additional oil filling
capacity after replacing components.
