Seat Occupant Sensor: Description and Operation
GF91.60-P-4106-02QM Pressure Sensor, Task

GF91.60-P-4106-02QM Pressure Sensor, Task

- as of 1.6.04
- with CODE (494a) USA version

The pressure sensor (B48/4) uses the piezo-electric principle to determine the weight of a person or a child seat on the front passenger seat. The pressure
sensor (B48/4) cannot tell the difference between a person and a child seat. This determination is made by the WSS (Weight Sensing System) control
unit (N2/13) with the help of the belt tension sensor (B48/3

Any work on the pressure sensor (B48/4) and the WSS (Weight Sensing System) control unit (N2/13) must only be done with "Circuit 15C OFF";
otherwise, the calibration of the WSS (Weight Sensing System) control unit (N2/13) will be influenced, which could cause the system to make incorrect
evaluations.
