Removing And Installing Xenon Headlamp Control Module With Ignition Module

DANGER:

Parts under high tension Do not touch
-

Do not touch parts conducting high voltage.

Persons with electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers) should not perform any type of work on the ignition system.

High voltage from Xenon headlamps
-

Do not touch parts conducting high voltage.

-

Persons with active electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers) should not perform work on Xenon headlamps.

Remove headlamp unit. Refer to: Lighting and Horns /Headlamp /Service and Repair. See: Lighting and Horns/Headlamp/Service and Repair

Unscrew screws (14) and remove housing cover(1)

Unscrew nuts (15)

Remove xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2, E2n2)

Unscrew screws (17)

Remove housing cover (2) by turning to left

Disconnect connector (18)

Press out grommet (19) and remove xenon headlamp control module (E1n2, E2n2) with xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n1, E2n1)

Reinstall in opposite order

10 Check for proper function
