Convertible Top Deck Lid Latch: Service and Repair

AR77.30-P-3975KA Remove/Install Soft Top Compartment Cover Lock

Injury hazard from rollover bar extending
-

Extend rollover bar before working in rollover bar area

Partially open soft top

NOTE:  Leave soft top compartment cover open and soft top bow set up

Remove soft top compartment paneling in area of lock

Unscrew mounting screws (1) from cover plate (2) and remove cover plate

Unscrew mounting screws from lock (3)

Screw for soft top compartment cover lock on body - 8 N.m

Disconnect center soft top compartment cover switch group connector (A25x1)

Press retaining panel for hydraulic line back and pull out hydraulic lines (5)

CAUTION:  Immediately plug hydraulic lines with plugs, plug connections on hydraulic cylinder with blind plugs

Plug No. -07, Blind Plug No. -01 : See "Special Tools" given below.

Remove soft top compartment cover lock (5)

Install in the reverse order

Bleed hydraulic system

10 Check oil level of hydraulic system

NOTE:  if necessary add oil through oil filler screw

Oil Filler Plug: Oil filler screw on hydraulic unit supply reservoir - 2 N.m

11 Check for proper function and leakage
