Exterior lamp switch in "Standing lamp" or "Low beam" position

Exterior lamp switch is additionally pulled as far as the 1st detent position into "Front fog lamp" position.

Function

The driver-side SAM control unit detects the "Front fog lamps On" signal via the exterior lamp switch and actuates the left front fog lamp and over
CAN-B sends the "Front fog lamps On" signal to the front passenger-side SAM control unit. This actuates the right front fog lamp.

The green front fog lamps indicator lamp in the exterior lamp switch visually signals that the left and right front fog lamps are switched on.
