GF91.60-P-4034TX Sidebag Sensor, Component Description
GF91.60-P-4034TX Sidebag Sensor, Component Description
Component Identification
Location
The driver and front passenger sidebag and windowbag sensor is mounted to the front end of the seat crossmember below each driver or passenger seat
at the level of the B-pillar.
Task
The driver or front passenger sidebag and windowbag sensors calculate the acceleration values occurring in the area of the B-pillar of the left or right
side of the vehicle in order to detect a side impact early on.
Function
^
After the self-test has been successful, this is confirmed by the driver and front passenger sidebag and windowbag sensor by sending a signal to the
restraint systems control unit (N2/7).
^
If the self-test has failed four times, the driver or front passenger sidebag and windowbag sensor is considered defective.
^
Upon request by the restraint systems control unit, the measuring range and the sensitivity of the driver or front passenger sidebag and windowbag
sensor are transmitted and it is checked, whether they match the programmed equipment. The production data can be output via STAR
DIAGNOSIS.
^
The acceleration values are transmitted periodically as digital values.
