Component Identification

Pushing off

Unscrew self-locking nut from follower joint (8).

Screw the thrust washer (043a) onto the support joint (8).

Press off the follower joint (8) with the puller (043).

Do not damage rubber boot or stainless steel contact ring otherwise the upper ball joint (8) must be replaced.

Observe variant of upper ball joint (8).
Puller202 589 02 33 00 for upper ball joint without stainless steel contact ring.

Puller1 40 589 00 33 00 for upper ball joint with stainless steel contact ring.

Remove puller (043) and thrust piece (043a).
